My week has been unusually quiet, but that's kinda nice, because I'm getting caught up on the things that piled up before the holidays.

Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about helping me with planning a surprise birthday party for Mike. He'll be 30 this year on Feb 2nd, and I thought I could invite some buddies of his from college, who don't live as well as our friends here. But I would desparately need help on decorations and food. Would you be willing?

I'm think of inviting about 30 or so people, but definitely these:

3. Matt LaRue - college buddy from Novi, MI

4. Tom Nevins - college buddy from Toledo, OH

5. TJ Bache - college buddy who is in Denver now

8. Patrick Haskins - former co-worker from Farmington Hills, MI

So, I think some of them will come, plus I'm going to invite our friends from here in Philadelphia. That should be about 25-30 more people. But depending on dates / significant others we could be looking at like 50 people. So, I would do the invitations, if you would help with the planning and coordinating.

Let me know. I'm gonna start sending invitations tomorrow and be done by Saturday, that way out of state guests who are coming can get decent airfares.

Komischerweise haben ich noch nicht Carwenavel in Brasilien erlebt aber jetzt schon in Deautschland! Und ich habe nich darueber nachgeedacht, dass Carnavel aus die lateinische Woerter 'Carne' (Fleisfch) und Vaalle (Wedg) urspruenglich kommen. Vielleicht wusstest Du das schon! Als die Zuege vorbeifuhr, sagten alle 'Eheelo!' eine tradionelle Karnavelsgruess! Und je lauter, desto mehr Bon-Bons! Komischerweise haben ich noch nicht Carnavel in Brasilien erlebt aber jetzt schon in Deutschland! Und ich habe nich darueber nachgedacht, dass Carnavel aus die lateinische Woerter 'Carne' (Fleisch) und Valle (Weg) urspruenglich kommen. Vielleicht wusstest Du das schon! Ich bin sehr froh, dass wir ein sehr 'fruchtbares' Jahr hatten. Als mein Vater hier zu Besuch war, hat er mir erzaehlt darueber. Irgendwann musste das klappen! -- die 'azarado' Brasilianische Agricultur! Endlich hatten wir ein grosse Ernte eingebracht. Ich denke oft an die Zukunft dort in Echapora und hoffentlich kann ich zusammen mit John Chappel etwas daraus leisten. Wir wollen 'Shiitake' Pilza (genannt 'Steien Pilze') auf dem Bauernhof anbauen. Ich habe lesen, dass dadurch man viel Geld verdienen kann. Aber unsere Ziele gehen nicht nur um Guld zu verdienen! In der Zukunft, nach der Uni, wollen wir wirklich etwas Gutes in Echapora leisten. Ich habe schon viele, viele, 100's Fotos ihm von unserm Bauernhof gezeigt. Er kann sich schon vorstellen, wie es bei uns in Brasilien ist. Jetzt ist er echt gespannt und will wissen, was wirklich dort los ist! Hoffentlich alles wird klappen und Niguita's Sohn wird mich in Europa besuchen und direkt nach seiner Ankunft reisen wir durch Europe zusammen. Mein Vater ist damals durch Europe mit der 'Europass' gereisen und auch Tio Co. Und wie Du mich geraten hast, muessen wir bestimmt nach Bayern oder noch suedlicher nach Oesterreich oder in die Schweiz fahren. Je suedlicher, desto besser.
