The session is composed of two parts: PART I: VIRUSES, MOLECULES AND DISEASES Relations between the laboratory and the clinic have been radically altered since World War II by a rapidly growing biomedical research enterprise. A large biomedical complex linking state research agencies, pharmaceutical firms, medical schools and teaching hospitals emerged many biomedical in the pathological role simultaneously with the transformation of the clinical and research agenda as evidenced by the systematic use of antibiotics as well as technological innovations such as the ultracentrifuge and the electron microscope. Medical frontiers shifted from diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by bacteria - researchers - to cancer and viral infections like polio and influenza. Part I of the session will explore changes in research practices resulting from an increasing interest increasingly perceived as routine w work by 2. A minimum certification of Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in NT for both workstation and server. 3. Three (3) years paid experience, providing systems administration, configuration, and desktop maintenance support to users in a NT server environment supporting at least 1,000 end users. 4. Three (3) years paid experience, troubleshooting, maintaining and installing computers, mice/keyboards, scanners, peripheral devices, CD ROMs, network cards, external drives, laser, inkjet, and impact printers, power directors, and UPS units, hubs, and switches. 5. Three (3) years, providing network support, including establishment and support of user accounts, file system security, PID pools, and similar activities. 6. Three (3) years, within the last five (5) years, using a Lotus Notes application to track, monitor, and report on service requests submitted by end users. 7. Three (3) years employment in, or supporting large public agencies. 8. Thorough recent knowledge and experience working with TCP/IP protocol. This knowledge and experience will be confirmed, if called to be interviewed. 9. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 10.
