Le schede in bonding sul nodo di front-end sono delle 3Com Corporation 3c905B 100BaseTX [Cyclone] PCI.

Lo stesso problema lo riscontro anche sui nodi di calcolo che hanno due Intel Corporation 82557 [Ethernet Pro 100] integrate nella motherboard.

Gli rpm non hanno tutte le opzioni settate per tutte i tipi di server e

schede di rete. Prova a ricompilare il kernel con openMosix con le sole

opzioni di cui hai bisogno, mettendole non in "module" ma bensi' nel

kernel diretteramente.

Dovrebbe funzionare.

New Hampshire bill aims to prevent Katrina-style gun seizures

Concerned by perceived abuses of Federal power during the Katrina crisis, New Hampshire state reps are reviewing a bill which would criminalize certain weapons seizures - even if the perpetrators are Federal officers. House Bill 1639-FN, prohibits the confiscation of lawfully owned and lawfully carried firearms during a state of emergency, making a felon of

any law enforcement officer who attempts to seize such a firearm during a disaster.

The bill was sponsored by Rep. Paul Hopfgarten at the request of local Free Staters - members of a group trying to recruit freedom lovers to New Hampshire and turn it an even more libertarian state than it already is (www.stateproject.org).

Activists say whether it passes or not, this "Gun Protection Bill" is one more small thing they can do to try and protect themselves from disarmament at the hands of any government, during a time when they believe they will need their weapons most.

Denmark's Iraq Abuse Scandal

While US investigations into the degradation of Iraqi prisoners by Americans at the Abu Ghraib prison continue, the role of military interrogators is also making headlines in Denmark, where the government has just recalled four top military personnel from Iraq amid allegations of prisoner abuse.

According to the Danish armed forces, the four senior officers called back to Denmark are the commander of the battalion in Iraq, the head of military police, the head of military intelligence and the chief legal office in Iraq. It's been reported that replacement officers will be sent out to Iraq to lead the 500-strong Danish force there.

Henrik Petersen, a spokesman for the Danish military, declined to specify the role of the four officers in the abuse scandal:

"The minister of defence in Denmark took the decision yesterday [Tuesday] together with the chief of defence to withdraw four officers from Iraq because of the results from the investigation so far. But these results are not public yet."

Accusations from an insider

The allegations appear to have originated from a Danish soldier who spent some time in Iraq, and concern the mistreatment of prisoners at Camp Eden near al-Qurnah in southern Iraq. The Danish forces in Iraq are in the southern part of the country, and operate under British command. The accusations focus primarily on one female Danish defence

intelligence officer who is said to have refused to give prisoners anything to drink and forced them to remain in awkward physical positions for prolonged periods.

However, Henrik Petersen finds it hard to believe that any torture was

involved: "[.] we don't know exactly what happened. But I'm sure it is not torture in the worst case that has happened. [.] that's my personal opinion.

That's so far away from the Danish mentality and the way we have conducted operations in other places."
