    Good Morning B,
I didn't work yesterday, and thank goodness. The house was a mess
from the holidays, so I spent the day cleaning and getting organized.
I don't which would have been more fun -- work or chores. =) LOL.
Anyhow, looks like just about everyone invited is going to attend,
which is good. Mom will be so excited.
We can talk about food after we hear from a few more people, and see
    what Dad thinks.
I'm gonna be pretty open this weekend, so how about shopping on
    Saturday afternoon? Sound good?
    Have a good day.
    Love,
    Kay-kay

    Subject: Mom's surprise birthday party
    Hey Sis -
What's up? How is your week going so far? Did you have to work
yesterday or was it a holiday for you? I had to work, but it was
quiet in the office, so I got a ton of things done.
Anyways, I wanted to update you on Mom's 50th birthday party. I sent
the invites out before the holidays and a bunch of people RSVP'ed.
So, it's looking like the following people are coming:
    1. Dad & mom, of course
    2. You and Jim
    3. Me and Eddie
    4. Tom & Carol Hartley
    5. Jim & Edna Mahoney
    6. Patricia Billings
    7. Janice & George Putchinski
    8. Mark & Lydia Lanier
    9. Bob & Helen Weiss
I think about 10 more people have yet to respond, so we'll see what
they say, before we decide on either to get food from Publix and
maybe Buca di Beppo, or if we can to cater it.
What are your thoughs? Oh, and we will have to check with dad too.
If you are around this weekend, let's go shopping together for
    decorations, k?
    Talk to you later chica.
    Love,
    Bren

    :: La Russia rassicura l'Europa
Il ministro Scajola: "Non pi emergenza. Ora patto"
    :: letale, caccia allo spacciatore

    it's the joy
of learning fascinating stories of the origins of words or their
etymologies. For others, it's discovering unusual words, whether it's
their meanings or sounds or spelling. Many, especially students, read
it to grow their vocabulary for one of the many standardized tests or
for personal enrichment. Those readers sometimes write back to say,
    "OK, so this
word petrichor (see http://wordsmith.org/words/petrichor.html ) is
interesting, but I'd like to see words that I can use more often in

from newspapers, magazines, and books to illustrate it and to show
that it has been used in the real world. Still, we take their point.
